Happy Holiday Season everyone!
One of the most eco-friendly and thoughtful gifts you can give is a handmade item. But it need not be made by your own hands. There are plenty of fine artisans out there, selling gorgeous and useful items.
This Friday, check out the Holiday Sale at Custom Art Framing in Norwood! You can eat cheese and drink wine while taking care of your holiday shopping - now that sounds like fun! Julie, the owner, has very discriminating taste and has loads of wonderful gifts for everyone. Don't miss nancy Rosetta's jewelry - I already own a few of her peices and they are favorites in my collection.

See you there!

Love Your Planet

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
I see Valentine's Day as a day to celebrate love - not only mushy romantic love - but a love for all things, and especially, yourself. Don't have a "Valentine"? Treat yourself to a little pampering - a spa or getting your nails done, whatver makes you feel good! Use Valentine's Day as a reminder to love your family, friends, pets, and planet today and every day!
Tonight I am getting ready to go out to dinner with my Valentine, and decided to wash my hair beforehand. Being without a hairdryer (because I literally never use one) but now kind of wanting to dry my hair faster, I turned up the heat and used the forced hot air heating grate in the living room - and it did the trick! Eco-friendly? Um.... I'll let you decide.

New Year's Resolutions
Yeah. So. One of my New Year's Resolutions is definitely going to be to post more to this blog! Another one (I always make many... then I am more likely to keep at least some) that has a "green" tint is to walk/bike as much as possible as opposed to using my car.
What are your green resolutions?
Happy New Year! 2008 was great (minus that whole tanking economy thing)... now on to 2009! :o)

Groovy Green Tip

Buy handmade!
It is always a challenge to find the right gift for someone you love. Does Target or Walmart really hold something that special? I suggest trying http://www.etsy.com/ - a fabulous array of unique handmade gifts awaits you there. Artisns from around the globe can sell their wares, and buyers get great deals on some really unique peices.
